Welcome Increase in Construction Market in MA,NY, RI, NH

Since spring has finally arrived, construction projects have sprung up all over New England. In Boston and Cambridge alone there is almost 1.8 billion dollars of work to be completed before September 2016 from just 5 different jobs.  And do I dare mention casino projects? The Plainridge Park Casino project broke ground in Plainridge, MA on March 14th. The slow and steady rise of the construction market as forecasted by McGraw Hill has long been awaited and welcome news indeed.

Major construction is not limited to casinos and major metropolitan areas. Salem, MA has planned almost $1.5 billion in construction projects through 2017. They even have built an informative website for Salem, MA residents on the plans to renew their city. Here our friends from Marguerite Concrete are working on a project at Salem State University, where United Alliance Services is providing onsite safety personnel for the job.  The construction project at Salem State College is being run by Turner Construction Company.  Turner Construction recently earned the Occupational Health and Safety Advisory Services (OSHAS) 18001 Registration for their health and safety program. OSHAS 18001 is an internationally recognized British standard for occupational health and safety programs, and is closely aligned with the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality standards.
