OSHA Respiratory Protection Courses

Initial SCBA Training Course

OSHA requires employees that are designated as users of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) to have initial training as well as to be certified annually.  This course will take the trainee through the fundamental principles of respiratory protection and the basic workings of the air pacl to safely operating in an IDLH atmosphere.  The course covers proper timed donning techniques, low profile, full escape, entanglement, and other emergency procedures.

Annual SCBA Refresher Course

OSHA requires employees that are certified in the use of a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) to be certified annually.  This course will take students through the basic workings of the air pack to safetly operating in an IDLH.  The course covers proper timed donning techniques, low profile, full escape, entanglement, and other emergency procedures.

Respirator Hands-on Training

Workers who are exposed to dust and other contaminants are at risk of developing respiratory-related diseases. This course will provide information that will enable employees to understand and prevent the hazards associated with dust, fumes, mists, and oxygen-deficient atmospheres. Students will learn the types, proper selection, limitations, intended use, inspection, cleaning and storage of respirators. Participants will also learn about the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system. Attendees will be presented with the elements to create a required OSHA respiratory plan.

Respiratory Protection Awareness

Workers who are exposed to dust and other contaminants are at risk of developing respiratory related diseases. This course will provide information that will enable employees to understand and prevent the hazards associated with dust, fumes, mists, and oxygen deficient and enriched atmospheres. Students will learn the types, proper selection, limitations, intended use, inspection, cleaning and storage of respirators. Participants will also learn about the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system.
