New Executive Joins New York City’s Premier Provider of OSHA and Workplace Safety Training

Since our ten-year anniversary last year, United Alliance Services Corporation (UASC) has been expanding and is growing at a steady rate. We are therefore delighted to officially welcome one of our newest members to our Consultative and Technical Services Team!

Marc A. Bianco joined UASC less than a year ago after an impressive eight years at the Aon Risk Solutions (ARS) of New York (formally Allied North America) where he held the position of Vice President of American Safety Consultants LLC (wholly owned subsidiary of ARS).

As a Vice President at ASR Mr. Bianco’s was responsible for the operational control and administration of risk management services and loss control services. Some of Marc’s primary responsibilities, including allocation of workloads, training seminars, safety program development, tracking loss ratios for safety groups and maintaining a liaison with insurance carriers on behalf of his clients.

Mr. Bianco also, coordinated, monitored and serviced numerous owner controlled insurance programs (OCIP) and contractor controlled insurance programs (CCIP), throughout the United States in conjunction with various ARS divisions. In addition, Mr. Bianco designed and implemented several accredited professional occupational health and safety training programs to include; the Academy for Occupational Health and Construction Safety within the New York City College of Technology (NYCCT) continuing education department, the Center for Occupational, Environmental, Health and Safety Training within Hofstra Universities continuing education department, the Greater New York Safety Council (GNYSC) annual NYS safety grant training program, the New York City Housing authority (NYCHA) project managers orientation program, and the expansion the OSHA Institute Training Center Region II into NYC.

Mr. Bianco’s most notable position while at ARS was when he held the position of assistant contract manager for the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) multi-year environmental health and safety consulting contract. Mr. Bianco was responsible for the strategic planning and co-management a $6.5 consulting contract that was executed as the first consulting contract of its kind in the city’s history; requiring the environmental, health and safety auditing of all contractors involved in $16 billion dollars in capital construction. Mr. Bianco’s overall responsibilities on the contract included the auditing and compliance oversight to all aspects of the contractor’s health and safety plans and adherence to contract specifications while managing a consulting staff of up to 30 employees.

As the Vice President of Technical Services for United Alliance Services Mr. Bianco provides occupational safety and health consulting, training, emergency planning and industrial hygiene services to government agencies and private organizations in support of their corporate programs or projects in the New England and NYC Tri-State region.

Mr. Bianco has also brought his expertise of developing large institutional annual occupational health and safety training programs to United Alliance services. He has had great success in 2013 in securing annual training contracts with the Joint Industry Board of the Electrical Industry (IBEW Local 3), New York University, North Shore LIJ Hospital System, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Assured Consulting, Security for America, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Highpoint Treatment Center, and Health Imperatives. In total Mr. Bianco’s efforts in developing these large institutional training programs will impact over 10,000 participant in the coming year.

One final note about Mr. Bianco; he is not only outstanding at what he does as a safety professional but, he has also contributed the last 20 years and, continues to serve as a commissioned office in the United States Naval Reserve and is proud veteran of the US Navy.
