United Alliance Services Announces Partnership With Upper Cape Tech!

United Alliance Services Corporation of E. Wareham, MA and Upper Cape Tech/Adult Education of Bourne, MA announces their partnership.  This partnership is intended to expand the educational opportunities at Upper Cape Tech to help educate and certify employers and employees in the local communities on OSHA and EPA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Responses (Hazwoper) Standards.

United Alliance forged this partnership with Upper Cape Tech to bring some of its skilled-labor training programs central to Boston’s South Shore. United Alliance will bring their professional instructional staff, highly skilled in occupational health and safety compliance systems and technology, to the Upper Cape’s Continuing Education Department starting with courses beginning in March, 2013.

Valerie Wakefield, called the partnership “unmatched” because local technical schools are a primary outlet for state and federal educational resources; assisting local communities in expanding their industry capabilities.  The private sector often offers the best resources and current technologies to meet industry’s needs. Wakefield, a small local business owner herself in the private sector for nearly 10 years, and a certified woman-owned business, WBE, said she “understands the need for community programs that help support local industry and grow educational programs to fit industry’s’ needs at affordable costs”.

“We see this as a new precedence in government collaboration and the key is we are meeting the needs of the business community. Our alliance with Upper Cape Regional Technical School and their excellent continuing education program and workforce development department will afford us -and them- the ability to provide general industry and the construction industry the training and educational opportunities needed for the future.”

United Alliance Services is eager to be engaged in this partnership with Upper Cape Tech. Other adult education courses offered by United Alliance include: a free OSHA seminar for small businesses; a healthcare provider course; MA Lead RRP course; workplace violence; and forklift training.  More information can be found at www.unitedallianceservices.com or www.uppercapetech.cc .  If you are interested in finding out more about these up-and-coming programs we ask that you reach out to the staff at Upper Cape Tech/Adult Education or United Alliance at: 877-399-1698 or via email at safetysolutions@unitedallianceservices.com .
