United Alliance Services Is Now a PEC Safety Training Provider

United Alliance Services now provides SafeGulf and SafeLandUSA Basic and Core Compliance Trainings

The oil and gas industry has little industry-specific guidance from OSHA. Guidance beyond OSHA’s 1910 and 1926 regulations was needed to ensure worker safety in such a complex and dangerous field. So, major players in the oil and gas industry; Anadarko, BP Nag, ExxonMobil-USP, Marathon Oil Company, Shell E&P and others, formed an advisory group for offshore drilling called SafeGulf, and one for onshore drilling called SafeLandUSA. The purpose of the SafeGulf and SafeLandUSA organizations is to provide consistency in safety standards across the oil and gas industry and provide accreditation for safety orientation programs that meet those standards.

Along came PEC Safety, the oil and gas industry’s safety experts. PEC Safety developed the curriculum for the oil and gas industry’s leading safety orientation programs. The most widely used and required by oil and gas operators are the PEC Basic Orientation and Core Compliance programs. These programs are accredited by the advisory groups SafeGulf and SafeLandUSA. In addition to safety training development PEC Safety also provides the “train-the-trainer” classes for those who will go forward and teach the approved standard safety orientation programs.

“The instructional training programs and materials developed by PEC Safety for SafeGulf and SafeLandUSA will greatly improve our clients’ knowledge on safety compliance and exceed the best practices when it comes to health and safety in the oil and gas industry. I believe I can speak for the entire instructional staff at PEC Safety when I say these programs are world class presentations,” said Marc Bianco, COO of United Alliance Services.

Marc Bianco is an authorized Master Instructor for PEC Safety, and is now one of the only certified trainers of SafeGulf and SafeLandUSA accredited courses in the Northeast. He is able to provide certificate courses in VT, NH, MA, RI, CT, NY and NJ.

“I strongly recommend PEC’s SafeGulf and SafeLandUSA Basic safety courses for all employees who work directly for operators or contractors requiring SafeGulf and SafeLandUSA certification. I am confident it will help reduce the frequency and severity of personal injury and damage to equipment that could result from an operator not being knowledgeable in the operation, maintenance and care required to work safely.

“As an immediate result of the PEC Safety Basic and Core courses, workers and supervisors will develop the highest level safety compliance and contribute to improving their employer’s health and safety programs far beyond OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards,” said Bianco.

In addition to being a leading provider of PEC Safety training in the Northeast, Bianco and the team of safety consultants at United Alliance Services offer a wide array of OSHA safety training to the construction, manufacturing, maritime and healthcare industries, making it one of the most well-rounded and capable safety providers in the New England and Tri-State areas.
