Walking, Working Awareness Course

 

This course covers the OSHA Walking-Working Surfaces standards for General Industry. This includes information on general safety requirements, protection from holes in the floor and walls, ladder safety, and scaffold safety. Participants learn how to apply the OSHA regulations for walking and working surfaces to avoid slips, trips, and falls in the workplace and how to recognize safe work practices for installing, maintaining, and using stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.

Machine Guarding Awareness Course

 

This class familiarizes the student with various types of common machinery and their related safety standards, and the control of hazardous energy sources (lockout/tagout). The course presents an approach to machinery inspection that enables participants to recognize hazards and to provide options to achieve abatement, including those for mechanical motions and actions created by points of operation and other machinery processes. Includes practice on identifying and mitigating machinery hazards.

This course offers insights into the many factors affecting stress at work and will help supervisors and managers understand the role and responsibility they have in recognizing and supporting staff who are feeling stressed.

 

This course in workplace stress management provides supervisors and managers with the skills and strategies to play a leading part in reducing team stress. The course can also be combined with the Stress Management in the Workplace Course, if supervisors and managers want to link this training with their own stress reduction.

 

Stress Management in the Workplace Course

 

This course will focus on critical incidents, disasters, and other traumatic events, which often produce effects that disrupt the abilities and well-being of the individuals, organizations and communities that experience the event. It will examine critical incident stress management, prevention and mitigation strategies and protocols that can be used in the workplace and community. We will also investigate the principles of individual stress management and stress proofing.

regulatory requirements.

This course will cover OSHA's revised recordkeeping requirements, the new recordkeeping forms, and offers a number of opportunities for you to practice classifying a case's recordability.
