Course Description:

New York City’s Mayor Bloomberg signed Local Law 33 on July 3rd, 2007. The law addresses the safety of the public and property during construction and demolition operations and was mandated for use by July 1, 2008.  Chapter 33 of the NYC Building Code “Safeguards During Construction and Demolition” requires that a licensed site safety manager be present during construction, demolition, or major façade alteration of major buildings.  This course is a requirement for anyone wishing to take the Site Safety manager Exam.

Course Topics:

  • This course covers 20 different topics which are addressed in Chapter 33, including administration, scaffolds, excavations, building erection, sidewalk sheds, permits, cranes, explosive, fire, and many other significant topics.
