February 23 through February 27, 2015 we will be offering 40 hour HAZWOPER, 24 hour HAZWOPER, 8 Hour HAZWOPER Refresher, and 4 hour GHS HazComm training at our location in Wareham, Massachusetts.
HAZWOPER training is essential for those who are either covered under the Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER). HazComm training applies to those who manufacture, distribute, or use hazardous chemicals in the workplace.

4 Hour GHS HazComm General Awareness

If you work with or handle hazardous chemicals, this is the right course for you. The instructor will review OSHA’s 2012 HazComm standard and highlight the changes applicable under the new GHS standard.
24 Hour HAZWOPER
February 23-25, 2015
8:00 am to 5:00pm
$350/participant
This course is the minimum requirement for those employees whose job does not require them to handle waste or hazardous materials as part of their usual course of duties. However, if they are required to respond to such incidents as uncontrolled releases or the potential of uncontrolled releases, as first responders in order to control and possibly perform cleanup operations.
40 Hour HAZWOPER

Employees who are required to respond to uncontrolled releases as First Responders at the Operations level, Hazardous Materials Technicians, Hazardous Materials Specialists, and On-Scene Incident Commanders and employees who are expected to handle or clean up hazardous materials or waste should take the 40-hour HAZWOPER course. As part of this course, participants will learn how to don and doff chemically resistant clothing and participate in response activities. If you have a medical restriction you should not take this course.
8 Hour HAZWOPER Refresher (FRA/FRO/HMT)

This refresher course is an annual requirement for anyone who has a 40 Hour HAZWOPER certificate to maintain their certification.
Instructors
Marc Bianco – Marc has over 20 years of experience delivering safety training to adult learners. He’s worked as the quality assurance manager for several superfund sites with the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Marc also spearheaded a multi-year environmental safety program for the New York City Department of Environmental Protection upgrading the water system and sewage treatment facilities. Megan Savage – Megan holds her bachelor’s degree in Marine Safety and Environmental Protection from Massachusetts Maritime Academy. In 2003, Megan worked with Clean Harbors to control and clean up 98 thousand gallons of Number 6 fuel accidentally released into Buzzards Bay. She also worked on a PCB superfund site as a health and safety officer. Megan has been a health and safety instructor since 2003. Read Megan’s Bio.
