This introductory course introduces new crane standards mandated by OSHA in November 2010. This new standard comprehensively addresses key hazards related to cranes and derricks on construction work sites, including the four main causes of worker death and injury: electrocution, crushed by parts of the equipment/load, and falls. It also mandates licensing requirements and certifications for operators and rigorous inspection requirements.
Anyone who operates a crane, performs rigging or gives hand signals to a crane operator.
