Course Description:

A Site safety and health supervisor (or official) is the individual located on a hazardous waste site who is responsible to the employer and has the authority and knowledge necessary to implement the site safety and health plan and verify compliance with applicable safety and health requirements.  In order to provide a high level of safety for an environment known to have a high probability of hazard exposure to workers, the Hazwoper regulation requires each hazardous waste site or facility to have a site safety and health supervisor.

The Hazardous Waste Site Supervisor is responsible for the on-site safety at the hazardous waste site.  These responsibilities include accident prevention, accident investigation, respiratory protection, clothing selection, preparation of the health and safety program (HASP), compliance, record keeping, and worker training programs.

This HAZWOPER Supervisor Training will help the student to achieve these goals and adhere to these responsibilities.  The course has been built an developed to fully adhere to the OSHA standard 1910.120 and may be used in place of the Annual HAZWOPER Refresher.
