EPA’s Renovation, Repair, and Painting Final Rule (40 CFR 475) requires that renovations be performed by certified firms using certified renovators. Renovation firms working in pre-1978 homes or child-occupied facilities must complete a Certified Renovator Course delivered by an EPA approved training firm. This is a 4-hour refresher course which is required every five years for those who have completed the 8-hour initial training course. You will learn lead-safe work practices and how to work safely and effectively.
