We’re Hiring: Business Development Specialist

The Business Development Representative primary responsibility is to develop new business and to manage incoming sales opportunities for the Training Department of UASC. The incumbent will expand UASC’s business with existing customers as well as the development of new accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting for new clients via both phone calls and emails at high volume with an eye toward exceeding expectations
  • Manage existing customer base within region with the highest level of integrity and customer service
  • Secure profitable new business with both existing customers and new prospects
  • Develop proposals and contracts under the direction of the Training Departments Divisional Manager
  • Assist in meeting and/or exceeding the training departments quarterly volume and profitability goals
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of monthly and quarterly revenue growth opportunities
  • Utilizes CRM software to maintain calls and sales records of prospects and customers
  • Qualify leads generated by marketing campaigns
  • Coordinate with the Marketing Department to develop and implement promotional programs

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of business development, technical management or other customer service experience required and/or;
  • 3+ years of training service, insurance, or other transferable industry experience required and/or;
  • 3+ years of proven track record delivering B2B sales and/or operational results
  • Experience using CRM Software required (Salesforce is a plus)
  • Must demonstrate computer and technical skills (proficient in Microsoft Suite is required)
  • Demonstrates leadership, self-initiative, resource utilization, teamwork and time management skills
  • Solid interpersonal, written and verbal communication
  • Strong ability to work independently/autonomously/in teams
  • Ability to travel locally and regionally as required

Sales Support Internship

The Sales Support Intern primary responsibility is to assist the sales department with managing and organizing data through CRM software. The Sales Marketing Intern will support various responsibilities including lead generation, sales development, and administrative/marketing tasks.

Primary Responsibilities/Tasks

  • Conduct marketing and industry research
  • Data support of lead generation programs
  • Perform regular data entry and clean up in CRM software
  • Administrative projects as assigned
  • Related experience with customer service (cold calling, emailing, appointment setting, etc.)
  • Content marketing and campaign support
  • Ability to clearly and persuasively articulate the company’s mission, products and business opportunities to customers

Qualifications/Skills

  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite Applications
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM is a plus
  • Solid written and verbal communication, presentation, and computer skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; Be enthusiastic, driven, confident, and dependable
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, teamwork, as well as independently/autonomously
  • An interest and willingness to learn about our service industries
  • Interest in Sales and Marketing
